Even the most powerful and accomplished of women need to equip themselves with fundamental self-defense skills. That’s why WAC has planned an evening of instruction that will help you avoid threatening situations, and fight your way out of a threat in progress. Just 2 short hours can make all the difference in protecting yourself.
Part 1: The Lesson. Self-defense doesn’t begin the moment you are physically threatened; it begins with being mindful. There are multiple ways to mitigate a situation where someone threatens you. Become mindful of how to portray yourself powerfully, how to walk, how to approach a car, or even depart from a building.
Part 2: The Action. There may be times when you are actually approached. Chris Moran, an expert in Jeet Kune Do Concepts, will walk us and talk us through the basics in realistic self defense skills.
