In our continuing quest to educate business professionals about the mysterious yet easily-uncovered aspects of wine and cuisine, DRIVEN has developed another special event centered around, well, eating and drinking! Be one of a handful of guests in the room when DRIVEN founder and former restaurateur Deborah Goldstein discusses the gastronomic magic that can potentially unfold on your palate when a few simple rules are acknowledged. Included among the evening’s activities will be exercises demonstrating
-The beauty of matching wine and food texturally
-Why some wine and food pairings are benchmarks, and why others are mismatches
-Why certain wines seem stark and unseductive to our senses until they are matched with appropriate foods
This is, after all, a dinner event. So expect to be not just tasting but consuming healthy quantities of Deborah’s homemade fare and some serious, hand-chosen wines from around the globe!
Wine & food pairing in the restaurant setting, as well as at home, doesn’t have to be intimidating; In fact, it should be fun and rewarding!
