Are Your Actions in Alignment with Your Aspirations?

Hi There,

During a recent Conversational Intelligence® peer group meeting, a colleague stated that she WANTS to be consistent about her writing practice but was currently falling short. “Deborah,” she said, “you have the discipline. When you say you’re going to do something, you do it.”

Her statement is only somewhat true, as I do appreciate the importance and the impact of my habits and practices. What this colleague doesn’t see is the somewhat erratic success in my implementation. She has no sense of the ups and downs on the rollercoaster I ride, and how often I bomb in adhering to my habits and practices. I do, however, actively celebrate my successes and unbroken streaks, like 28 days straight of exercise.

Thankfully, since I’m committed to the Growth Mindset, I’ve subsequently formulated ideas about how to better care for myself when I do bomb. I am also self-compassionate when I fall short of optimal habit observance because I know that as humans, we ebb and flow in our personal successes. Even more importantly, I am confident about “the WHY behind the What”. I realize that my self-designed habits are aligned with what matters most to me. When I’m not as consistent as I’d like to be, I can get back on-track more easily because these practices lead directly to living my aspired life.

Being intentional about self-care is simple, but not easy. However, having a clear picture of what’s important to you and a method for maximum impact, anything you do can have a positive effect.

If you are motivated to employ better habits and practices in your life, there is no better time than NOW to invest in yourself. DRIVEN’s Intentional Productivity E-Course is a click away. AND, besides the solid framework and abundance of tools included in this approachable and obtainable methodology, anyone investing in the course will be invited to a series of live streamed DRIVEN OfficeHours in January. These are ideal opportunities to ask questions, gain insights, and dig deeper into the content.

So, if you, or someone in your orbit is serious about aligning what you know to be most important to you with how you actually allocate your time and energy, this is an offer you cannot afford to ignore.

Give yourself or someone else special the gift of living an intentional life. And have a wonderful holiday!

Cheers!
-Deborah
